Building your vault

This wizard walks you through 20 categories of your family's life — 19 built in, plus your own custom categories. Add as much or as little as you'd like for each — you can come back anytime to fill in more.

Zero-knowledge encryption

Everything you type encrypts on your device using AES-256-GCM before it reaches our servers. We hold no key. We cannot read your data.

Never store your seed phrase

NestVault will never ask you to store a Bitcoin or crypto seed phrase. Your seed phrase belongs on metal, in a location only you know.

Don't store anything classified

NestVault is a consumer product. It is not an approved system for classified material, CUI, or operational information. Use it for personal life admin only.

Saving your progress

Each section auto-saves before you move to the next. You can also click Save & Exit at any time to return to your dashboard.

If "family" is complicated

Step-kids, ex-spouses, blended households, divorces, separated parents managing aging parents — NestVault has no opinion about your family shape. You decide who you invite, and you can give each person a different per-category permission set from the Family Access tab.

How do I share my vault password safely?

Until our verified beneficiary-release system ships, sharing your vault password is a manual job. The safest approaches: tell your spouse in person; write it on paper in a sealed envelope kept with your will or in a safety deposit box; or leave it with your estate attorney. Do not text, email, or store it in cloud notes. Each family member you invite gets their own account login — they only need your vault password if they're inheriting access later, not for day-to-day use.

Managing a parent's vault too?

If you hold power of attorney for an aging parent, the cleanest setup is to open a second NestVault for them and invite yourself (and any siblings) as family members. One vault per person; you'll have two logins. We're working on a managed-vault concept that will make this easier.
